Nicole Kidman’s rep has gone on the attack on behalf of her client at a recent report the pregnant actress was downing white wine at this Sunday’s Academy Awards. Kidman, 40, announced that she was expecting her first child with her country music star husband Keith Urban, 40, last month.

New York Post columnist Cindy Adams wrote yesterday: “Boozing backstage during the Oscarcast is a no-no. But if you’re pregnant Nicole Kidman it’s a yes- yes. She wanted white wine. She got it.”

But Kidman’s rep has fired back, insisting the allegations aren’t true, saying: “Not true. She drank lemon zinger and water and was nursing a very bad cold.”

The rep, Catherine Olim of PMK, also sent this statement to Perez Hilton, blasting Cindy Adams. “I have to tell you that Nicole Kidman most certainly did NOT drink white wine or any other alcoholic beverage backstage.

“She had water and lemon zinger tea. That’s it.

“I know, I was there with her I cannot remember that last time that Cindy Adams got anything right. She’s an idiot, and you can quote me.”

We stayed away from this story yesterday waiting for a response by Nicole or her rep, and we’re glad we did!

Lindsay Lohan Settle Car Crash Lawsuit!

Lindsay Lohan has settled a lawsuit filed by a busboy claiming the actress was negligent when her car collided with his van, according to court papers.

The terms of the agreement were not revealed. Raymundo Ortega originally had asked for $200,000 in damages.

“This entire case has been settled,” say the papers filed Wednesday by Ortega.

Ortega had claimed Lohan was consuming alcohol at West Los Angeles restaurant The Ivy before the 2005 crash, even though she was underage at the time.

Lohan denied his claim, saying in court papers: “I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug.”

She filed a countersuit, noting that a California Highway Patrol report blamed Ortega for the crash on the grounds that he made an illegal U-turn.

Prior to the settlement, Lohan, now 21, had faced the prospect of giving a videotaped deposition – which her lawyers strongly opposed on the grounds the video could embarrassingly turn up in the media.

All told, it’s been a big week for Lohan: She also generated attention with her nude photos in New York magazine and traveled to Milan for its Fashion Week.

Back from her trip to Milan for fashion week, Lindsay Lohan was out for her AA meeting in West Hollywood on Wednesday afternoon (February 27).

The Mean Girls actress attended the very important counseling appointment at the Key Club, also grabbing a bite to eat at LaScala in Beverly Hills.

Keeping herself on track by diligently participating in the twelve-step sessions, it’s a possibility that LiLo is finally trying to set a positive example for her younger sister, Ali.

After all, Ali just told Teen Vogue: “I grew up watching Lindsay. It made me want to do what she does. Just the whole vibe.”

“Being there, being on camera, or onstage, with everybody listening to you… it’s so cool when people look up to you. I’ve already been asked for my autograph and it’s just a really good feeling to have.”

We are also hearing from an inside source that Kate was wearing a girdle at a recent public event to try to hide her baby bump, but she won’t be able to hide it much longer unless she doesn’t something to end the pregnancy.

Jennifer Lopez Expecting Twins!

The rumors are true, confirmed by no less a source than her father: Jennifer Lopez is expecting twins.

And it isn’t even a Lopez family first.

“Yes, twins,” her dad David Lopez said in an interview on the Spanish-language show Escándalo TV. “The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it’s a hereditary thing.”

For David Lopez, the news means double the excitement.

“I’m very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years,” he said.

And he already has gifts ready for his 38-year-old daughter’s babies.

Good news travels fast, and when Marc Anthony’s sister found out about the double blessing he and wife Jennifer Lopez had early Friday morning, she was overjoyed.

“I learned this morning. I’m ecstatic, I really am. I’m happy for her,” Yolanda Santa Maria, Anthony’s older sister, said Friday after hearing the birth news on Good Morning America. “She’s a mom for the first time. I can just imagine the euphoria she’s going through.”

And as for her brother? “It’s another two blessings for him. He beat me – I have four [kids] and now he has five. I’m so happy for him. I don’t even know what to say. It’s like if I had the babies.”

Santa Maria, who expects to meet her new niece and nephew soon, added, “I can’t wait to see them, I can’t wait to meet them. Words don’t even begin to express how happy I am for them.”

Visit Her Children Soon!

Britney Spears will be allowed to visit her children “soon, very soon,” after lawyers hammered out a structured visitation arrangement, Kevin Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says.

Kaplan confirmed Friday that he and his partner Jim Simon spent two days working with Spears’s legal team. Under the terms of the agreement, details of which Kaplan would not disclose, Jayden, 1, and Preston, 2, will once again enjoy “participation of their mother in their lives,” Kaplan says.

“We’re pleased that … the process of reinstating the children’s mother as a participant in their lives can commence,” said Kaplan.

Spears, 26, has not seen her boys since her Jan. 3 custody stand-off with police, leading to her first forced hospitalization in a psych ward.
